Baby bananas from small farmers' initiatives

We obtain our organic banana slices from Tarabao, which imports them directly from the small farmers' initiative Groupement Initiative Commune SEPTROPIC in Cameroon. The 18 farming families involved have successfully converted their cultivation from conventional to organic farming in recent years.

The baby bananas grow in various regions of Cameroon, including around Douala, Limbe, Loum, Penja, Yabassi and Banja. The fruit is inspected, washed, sliced, gently dried and packaged at a central processing facility in Douala. This creates added value directly on site and long-term prospects for the families involved.
