Our organic pineapple chunks are one of the products that never cease to delight us: exceptionally aromatic, pleasantly fruity and tart and of a quality that you can taste. The pineapple pieces we buy from Tarabao are characterized by their intense taste and natural texture - without any added sugar or additives.
Whether on their own as a snack, in muesli or as a fruity addition to bowls: the gently dried pineapple pieces bring tropical freshness to everyday life. We particularly like to combine them with our Organic Coconut Smiles - sweet and sour pineapple meets mild coconut flavor.
Origin of the pineapple pieces
We source our organic pineapple chunks from our partner Tarabao, who import them directly from the smallholder initiative Groupement Initiative Commune SEPTROPIC in Cameroon. The 18 farming families involved have successfully switched from conventional to organic farming in recent years.
The pineapples grow in various regions of Cameroon, including around Douala, Limbe, Loum, Penja, Yabassi and Banja. The fruit is inspected, washed, cut, gently dried and packaged at a central processing facility in Douala. This keeps a large part of the added value directly on site and ensures long-term prospects for the families involved.
